Taking the bus to Split
Buses in Croatia are, to say the least, dramatically regulated (yes, I am still mild here).
Tickets seem to be sold unlimited, without thinking into account that there must also be a place for all those tickets in a physical bus. What a novel idea, every ticket sold represents at least one seat in the bus?
A lady rushes back and forth between three buses trying to organize it all, but forgets to inform the tourists. You have to go to that bus, you are told. The driver points you to another bus. And then when your bags are being loaded into the cargo hold, you are again directed somewhere else. And to top it off they tell you “Just get on a bus, they all are going to Split”.
Oh yes, and those tickets …. nothing has even been checked!
But the air conditioning in the bus is great, no unnecessary luxury at 35 °C.
